About Cynthia de Lorenzi

Cynthia de Lorenzi is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Success in the City, an unconventional business networking organization for senior level executive businesswomen in the DC Metropolitan area. Cynthia is a true believer in helping foster meaningful peer relationships and friendships. After relocating to the metro Washington region from Dallas, Texas, Cynthia discovered that she was missing the personal support system of other successful women that she had enjoyed in Texas. So she decided to throw a one-time networking bash to meet some new friends. Success in the City was born! Additionally Cynthia likes to call herself a serial entrepreneur & social commentator on the status of women in our world today and also encourages the label “open networker” and, just for fun, “Diva Extraordinaire.” Washington Business Journal selected her as one of the top 25 “Women Who Mean Business” in 2006 and she was honored as a recipient of SmartCEOs Brava Award in 2009. Cynthia is passionate about empowering others and the principle of paying-it-forward. In addition to leading Success in the City, Cynthia is a partner in Pink Collar Ink, a publishing company blending both traditional and new media services.  She serves on the Board of Directors of The Telework Coalition, The Women’s Center and The Community Business Partnership and it’s subsidiary The Women’s Business Center, which provides training, assistance and support to businesswomen in Northern Virginia.
